Say Hello to Quick Import: Your Daily Feed Imports Just Got a Whole Lot Faster

We've all been there. It's early morning, the feed truck is rolling, and you need to get yesterday's feed data into FLS Cloud. You open the Feed Importer, upload your CSV file, click Next, Next, Next through screens you've already configured a hundred times... and wonder, "Why can't this just go straight to import?"

Great news — now it can.

Introducing Quick Import

Quick Import is a brand-new button on the Feed Importer wizard (both One-Way and Two-Way) that lets you skip all the intermediate steps and import your file in one click.

No more stepping through Review, Mappings, and Preview screens when nothing has changed since yesterday. Upload your file, hit the green Quick Import button, and you're done.

How It Works

  1. Upload your CSV file as usual on Step 1
  2. Set your column mappings and options (or leave them as-is from last time)
  3. Click the green "Quick Import" button

That's it. Behind the scenes, Quick Import automatically:

  • Validates your data and settings
  • Matches your pens, rations, and ingredients using your saved mappings
  • Checks for any issues (duplicates, missing mappings, etc.)
  • Imports everything — complete with the familiar progress indicator

The whole process takes seconds instead of minutes.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Don't worry — Quick Import has your back. If it finds anything that doesn't look right, it will tell you exactly what the issue is. For example:

"Quick Import failed: No pen mapping found for: Pen 12, Pen 15. Please click Next to set up mappings."

Just click Next instead and walk through the normal wizard to fix those mappings. Once they're saved, Quick Import will work perfectly next time.

One More Thing: Import Another

After a successful import, you'll now see an "Import Another" button on the completion screen. Need to import a second file? No need to navigate away and come back — just click it and you're right back at Step 1, ready to go.

When Should I Use Quick Import vs. the Normal Wizard?

Scenario Use
Daily repeat import with the same file format Quick Import
First time importing from a new scale indicator Normal wizard (Next)
All your pens and rations are already mapped Quick Import
You added new pens or changed ration names Normal wizard (Next) first, then Quick Import going forward
You want to review or edit data before importing Normal wizard (Next)

Where to Find It

Go to menu Feed => Feed Importer or Feed Importer (Two-Way). T he Quick Import button is the green button on Step 1 of both the Feed Importer and the Feed Importer (Two-Way) wizards. It sits right between Close and Next — you can't miss it.

Quick Import is all about saving you time on the tasks you do every single day. We hope it makes your morning feed data routine just a little bit easier.

Happy importing!
