Priced a Feed Wrong? Fix It Across Every Lot — Without Redoing the Math

It happens on every yard. A feed price gets entered a little high. A supplier invoice comes in lower than expected. A dry matter comes back and the number you've been running with was off. The feed already went out, the days are already recorded — and now those costs are sitting wrong across a whole stretch of the calendar.

The old fix was painful: open every day, every lot, and re-key the numbers one record at a time. Miss one and your closeout doesn't tie out.

FLS gives you a cleaner way. Update Backdate Feeds lets you correct a feed component's price or dry matter once, and FLS recalculates the history for you.

How it works

1.  Go to Feed > Components from the menu, select the component that needs a price update, you may need to update the component's price if you haven't done yet. Otherwise, you may see a message like the one below:
   
2. Then click the Update Feeds button.

4. Pick the lots and the date range the correction applies to.
   
   
   
5. Check Update Unit Price?, Update Dry Matter?, or both.
6. Hit Preview.
   
   Before anything is saved, you see the new price, the current price, and the exact difference — side by side. No guessing what the change will do to your numbers.
   
   Tip: Please update the feed before invoicing. Otherwise, you may see the message below.
