Feed the Whole Yard from One Screen: Meet the Daily Feed Sheet

Morning feed call shouldn't mean opening a pen, typing an amount, saving, backing out, and doing it again for the next pen. By the time you've worked through the yard, you've clicked more than you've fed — and the day's totals are still in your head.

The new Daily Feed Sheet puts every pen on one page, for one date, so you can call the whole yard top to bottom and post it in a single pass.

How to launch it?

How it works

  1. Open the Daily Feed Sheet and set the date. It starts on today. Use Last, Prev, Today, or Next to jump to the day you're feeding — no calendar hunting. The Today button turns green when you're on the current date.
  2. Read the pen at a glance. Each row shows the pen's Head, Lots, days on feed (DOF), and head weight — the context you need to make the call, right next to where you type.
  3. Pick the ration and type the amount. Tab into Ration 1 and the dropdown opens for you. Choose the ration, then type Amount 1. Feeding two rations? Add Ration 2 and Amount 2 on the same row.
  4. Fly down the column. Press Enter to drop to the next pen's amount, or use Arrow Up / Down to move between boxes — both hands stay on the keyboard, no reaching for the mouse.
  5. Watch the math keep up. As Fed/Hd recalculates as you type, and the footer keeps a running Head and total amount for the whole sheet. The numbers are done before you are.
  6. Reorder pens to match your route. Drag a row by its handle "" to put pens in feeding order. The new order saves automatically.
  7. Post once. Hit Post and the full day's feed is saved. If a pen has an amount but no ration, it tells you which pen — so nothing posts half-finished.
